PROJECT OVERVIEW: Do a design for a food truck.
My client has a New Orleans Po-Boy Food Truck. The menu is simple only serving four types of Po-Boys which come “dressed”. The term “dressed” means it comes with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo on it.
Mardi Gras colors are used to help keep with the New Orleans flavor and to provide harmony to the design. A pattern was made out of colorful geometric diamond shapes which are something that are seen in Mardi Gras decor. They are aligned and repeated as a band around the truck on all three sides. The confetti and mask help to continue and unify the Mardi Gras theme. The confetti looks like it is falling which provides movement to the design as well as the exploded sandwich. Contrast was used with the bright colors on the truck and in the logo design. The logo placed on the three sides of the truck aid in providing unity, consistency, proximity, and balance to the design.
